History
It all began in 1922 with Jan Keune, a pharmacist from Amsterdam, and his fascination with curls. Above the drugstore he ran with his wife, he began experimenting and producing hair care products. Whereas hair used to be curled by heating curling irons over gas burners, Jan Keune managed to develop a formula for perm solution. This became a resounding success that women responded to enthusiastically. The Dutch product took the world by storm, and in the years that followed, KEUNE Haircosmetics grew into a global brand that has now been in business for over 100 years.
